Board and staff thank David Wolgar as he finishes up as a MTLAC director in 2024
David Wolgar became a director on the MTLAC Board in 2020, representing his family line under their Apical ancestor, Maggie.
But the 2024 AGM marked the end of his four year term as he moves on to different things in 2025.
Mr Wolgar was lovely to work with and would often call the MTLAC office just to check in on the staff.
He had a keen interest in the Mirning language and was hopeful to see a dictionary created so it could be preserved and passed on.
MTLAC Chairperson Shilloh Peel said the MTLAC Board appreciated Mr Wolgar’s efforts.
“I’d like to thank Mr Wolgar on behalf of the MTLAC Board for his leadership and contributions to the board and the Mirning community,” she said.
“It’s been a challenging four years and he did a great job working alongside us all.
“We look forward to seeing him at future Mirning events and wish him all the best for the future.”
MTLAC CEO Clint Shaw said Mr Wolgar was a pleasure to have on the MTLAC Board.
“David was always really welcoming and friendly from the start,” he said.
“I look forward to catching up with him again soon and wish him well for the new year ahead.”
